”Firefly” is so bad, it’s good

THE DISH Think ”Star Trek” with a bunch of neurotic misfits. After an intergalactic war, a group of rebels runs a sketchy transport business to make ends meet (barely).

WHY IT’S CHEESY FUN You never saw the toilet on the Enterprise, but you can see where space travelers do their business on this ship.

CATTY SLAPDOWN Considering that the mastermind behind the series is ”Buffy the Vampire Slayer” creator Joss Whedon, you can count on it.

WHO’S CRYING NOW? The shipmates include such disparate elements as a cutthroat mercenary (Adam Baldwin), a chipper mechanic (Jewel Staite) and an upscale prostitute (Morena Baccarin) — so expect someone’s feelings to get hurt.

NAIL BITING DRAMA The splashy intergalactic battles will keep your hand off the remote.
