Early version of ''Hulk'' leaps online

An early version of June 17’s ”The Hulk” has leaked to the Internet, and Universal Pictures says the perpetrators won’t like them when they’re angry. The illicit download of Ang Lee’s Marvel movie includes unfinished special effects that have disappointed some fans who’ve seen it, according to postings on Ain’t It Cool News. A Universal spokesperson said in a statement released to EW.com that the studio is ”conducting a thorough investigation” of the leak, and that those responsible ”will face serious consequences.”

Ain’t It Cool News editors Harry Knowles and Drew McWeeny have each chided their readers for illegally downloading the film, as well as for prematurely submitting negative reviews. ”Considering you’re looking at unfinished work, how can you tell me how it looks?” McWeeny wrote on the site. ”And why would you want to break down and watch the film this close to release?” Ironically, Knowles reviewed an apparently stolen copy of ”Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones” more than a month before its release last year. But then again, no amount of special-effects tweaking could have improved the chemistry between Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman.
