Has a mole already leaked ''Survivor'''s winner?

”Survivor: Pearl Islands” premiered only on Thursday, but already, someone may have broached the show’s reputed secrecy and leaked the winner’s name. So believe the operators of offshore betting site BetWWTS.com, which stopped taking bets on the CBS reality competition on Thursday after a series of suspicious bets were placed by people who appeared to have inside information, the Associated Press reports.

Even though viewers have only just met this season’s castaways, 15 bettors from the Vancouver area all placed bets on the same contestant, whom the website’s CEO would identify only as a woman who lived nearby. (That could be Sandra Diaz-Twine, who is from Fort Lewis, Wash.)

CBS spokesman Chris Ender told AP that only ”Survivor” producer Mark Burnett and a couple of CBS executives know who won. Still, the incident echoes events of last season, when betting site BoDog.com stopped taking ”Survivor” bets after it realized that bettors it identified as CBS employees were betting on Jenna Morasca and Matthew Von Ertfelda to be the final two contestants, which they were.

Still, not all online bookmakers are so skittish. BetonSports.com announced Thursday that it’s laying odds of 3 to 1 that Burton Roberts will win the $1 million ”Survivor” jackpot. It places Diaz-Twine’s odds at 9 to 2.
