Q&A with ''Greg the Bunny'''s Seth Green

The TV star talks about the strange puppet antics on the canceled series now out on DVD

Before reteaming with his favorite ”fabricated American” for a 2005 IFC special, Seth Green reflects on Fox’s short-lived series Greg the Bunny.

Fans will finally see Corey Feldman kidnap Greg while you’re tied to a table in a Catholic schoolgirl’s uniform.

[Laughs] I always thought that episode was more along the lines of what we were trying to do.

Which was?

Show puppets in the real world, where they’re a minority that people just accept. That’s where the funny is. Us walking down the hall making a one-line about Cookie Monster being a drug addict’s not funny. That was the difference of opinion between the network and the producers.

Puppet sex is always funny.

That’s something that, unfortunately, the show didn’t dwell on. The best was Blah and Warren having a three-way with a taxidermied bird between takes. They went on for, like, 10 minutes. I hope that’s on tape…
