”Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit” is one of the 10 movies we can’t wait to see

RELEASE DATE Oct. 7

WHY WE CAN’T WAIT We love the delightful and witty Claymation of Aardman Animations (Chicken Run), especially Oscar winner Nick Park’s three previous Wallace & Gromit shorts.

THE PREMISE Cheese-loving inventor Wallace and his sensible dog Gromit (above) confront a mutant bunny that’s haunting the neighborhood vegetable gardens.

SOURCE The characters featured in the shorts ”A Grand Day Out” (1989), ”The Wrong Trousers” (1993), and ”A Close Shave” (1996)

THE BACK STORY Why a were-rabbit? Turns out the knights of Monty Python and the Holy Grail aren’t the only ones haunted by killer bunnies. ”I find rabbits a bit scary, I must say,” says co-director Steve Box.

BURNING QUESTION Will audiences be ready for another stop-motion animation feature just two weeks after Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride?
