NBC announces winter schedule

NBC has firmed up its lineup for this winter, bringing back Medium to Monday night and launching its new reality series Baby Borrowers. The network promises some 85 hours of scripted programming during the first-quarter of 2008, though the lineup looks like it will feature some 11 hours of reality programming each week as well. The fourth season of Medium will launch in the show’s original 10 p.m. Monday slot on Jan. 7. This upcoming season features Anjelica Huston in a six-episode arc. It will be preceded on Mondays by Deal or No Deal at 9 and American Gladiators at 8. Once Gladiators wraps its season, Baby Borrowers will get is premiere on Monday, Feb. 18. The new show puts real babies in the care of rowdy teenagers in an attempt to teach them a lesson in responsibility. NBC’s other midseason series are 1 vs. 100, The Celebrity Apprentice, The Biggest Loser, newcomer Lipstick Jungle, Law & Order, and a repurposed Law & Order: Criminal Intent. (Variety)
