Based on Ben Mezrich’s 2002 nonfiction best-seller Bringing Down the House, 21 is the tale of an MIT whiz (Jim Sturgess) who, with the help of a math prof (Kevin Spacey), learns to cheat at blackjack by counting cards. Naturally, he heads to Vegas to make some cash. Kate Bosworth is one of the math nerds in his card crew, and Laurence Fishburne plays the casino heavy who catches on to the kid’s shenanigans.
