Nicolas Chartier, the Hurt Locker producer who was uninvited from the Academy Awards after sending an inappropriate emails soliciting Oscar votes, was able to deliver an Oscar acceptance speech last night at a party at producer Mike Fleiss’ house in Malibu, according to Indiewire. Chartier said, “Everyone in this room: Keep trying. Keep pushing. Keep knocking on doors if you believe you have something!” He then added, “It’s not about the girls, money, and fame…maybe a little! It’s about the movies. This is what we live for.”
