Kid Rock: Jury awards $40,000 to man who says he was beaten by the 'All Summer Long' star and his entourage

Image Credit: Clay Patrick McBrideEarlier today, a jury in suburban Atlanta awarded $40,000 to a man named Harlen Akins who claims he was beaten by Kid Rock and his entourage at a Waffle House in 2007. According to the AP, the damages are to be divided between four defendants, based on how much responsibility each was assigned. Kid Rock will pay 15 per cent.

The case resulted from a fight which took place on October 21, 2007. In March of the following year, Kid Rock pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of simple battery. Rock was not present in court to hear the the jury's decision.
