Snoop Dogg, Willie Nelson team up for smokey 'Superman' video

Snoop Dogg and Willie Nelson have a lot in common: They're both legends in their respective genres. They each make dubious choices when it comes to collaborators. Both are braid enthusiasts. And both love country music.

Of course, they are also both advocates of a certain herbal substance that will grab a handful of headlines today. Appropriately, Snoop just dropped a new video for "Superman," which features a guest spot from Nelson. Check it out after the jump.

Nelson and Snoop first hooked up on "My Medicine," a track from Snoop's 2008 album Ego Trippin'. And while Snoop still rapped over "My Medicine," there's no trace of hip-hop on "Superman"just a simple little blues ramble that sees Snoop and Nelson trading lines about mortality.

That's clearly not the only thing the two are sharing. Though some artists would opt for more subtle imagery, Snoop and Nelson know what the people are going to be looking for, which is why the clip for "Superman" has multiple shots of Snoop smoking a gigantic joint and commenting on the relative strength of the weed inside.

It's one of those things that makes you wonder, "How is it that Snoop doesn't get arrested constantly?" (especially considering they caught up to Willie last year).

What do you think of Snoop's foray into the world of country music? And how about that video? Sound off in the comments below!
