David O. Russell is no longer working on Uncharted, Sony’s movie adaptation of the hit video game that he hoped to make with Mark Wahlberg. Variety reported that the Oscar-nominated director (The Fighter) exited over creative differences, and EW has confirmed his departure and the studio’s determination to move ahead with a previous draft of the script by Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer. A spokesperson for Wahlberg, who was never officially attached to the project, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
