Hang on tight, because Star Wars: The Clone Wars is making the jump to lightspeed.

Tonight’s episode, “Massacre,” kicks off a four-part season finale that will feature an interstellar rogues gallery of fan-favorite villains: Asajj Ventress, the Nightsisters, Boba Fett, Savage Opress, Darth Maul, and General Grievous. And tonight, Grievous’s voice actor, Matthew Wood, will be joining us for a live chat starting at 7:40 p.m. ET. Wood will be taking your questions and adding his running commentary to the episode. I mean, it’s not every day you get to chat with an Oscar nominee, right? Wood has received two sound-editing nominations: one for There Will Be Blood in 2008 and another for WALL•E in 2009. He helped assemble the soundscapes of such films as Munich, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Super 8, and, of course, the Star Wars prequels. And in his spare time, he’s also managed to be the supervising sound editor on all 76 episodes of The Clone Wars.

“Massacre” takes up where the series left off a year ago, with spindly assassin Asajj Ventress just having failed in her attempt to kill Count Dooku after he betrayed her and left her for dead. Now Ventress is returning to her coven of surprisingly hot witches, the Nightsisters of Dathomir, to plan her next move with her mentor, Mother Talzin. But Dooku’s not a Sith Lord to forgive… or forget. And he’s tasked General Grievous to attack Dathomir and wipe those witches out once and for all. Think of “Massacre” like a Harry Potter movie, but with even more death, destruction, and genocidal intent. Not to mention witches that are far more scantily-clad and Sapphically-inclined. This is one of the darker episodes we’ve had in a while, for sure. So brace yourself, and get your questions ready for Wood when he joins us tonight at 7:40 ET. See you there!
