Owen Wilson, Armie Hammer, Ben Kingsley: New projects in Casting Net

• Owen Wilson is set to star in an action flick for the first time since 2001’s Behind Enemy Lines. The film, The Coup, follows an American family who moves to Southeast Asia and is caught in the middle of a violent coup. Wilson will play the father in the thriller, which is written and directed by Devil helmer John Erick Dowdle. [Deadline]

Cut Bank, from a script that made the 2009 Black List, now has a few bold-faced names to count amongst its cast. Armie Hammer, Ben Kingsley, John Malkovich, and Michael Sheen have joined the crime thriller about a former high school football star looking to break out of his small town in Montana. TV director Matt Shakman (House, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) will make his feature film debut with Cut Bank. Teresa Palmer (I am Number Four, Take Me Home Tonight) has also been cast. Ever-expanding horror movie Jessabelle has added two more to its gory numbers. Ana de la Reguera (Eastbound & Down)and Amber Stevens will join the latest from Saw 3D and Saw VI director Kevin Greutert.[Deadline]
