Safe Haven poster copies other Nicholas Sparks' movies

Yesterday, Relativity unveiled the official poster for Nicholas Sparks’ latest novel-turned-movie, Safe Haven, which stars Julianne Hough and Josh Duhamel and hits theaters on Feb. 8, 2013. The poster doesn’t have anything in common with posters for other popular Nicholas Sparks movies… well, except everything. I mean, seriously:

–The “drumroll” before the kiss

–The clutching of a lover’s head like a giant grapefruit that must instantly be devoured

–Said lover’s ear delicately placed between the thumb and index finger

–A soothing landscape lovely and present the background

–Soft, swoony light shining between a sturdy forearm and handsome bicep

You know what they say: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! (But to be clear: The Nicholas Sparks formula is certainly broken creatively. I’m talking form a business standpoint here.)
