'Arrested Development': Conan tweets first official photo

Today’s news: it’s not all doom and gloom and flying cows! This morning, Conan O’Brien tweeted what he’s calling the “first official photo from the new Arrested Development.” It’s sure to cheer up any Hurricane Sandy-struck AD fans who feel like they’re about to blue themselves. Here’s the shot:

The picture itself shouldn’t be a surprise; anyone who’s been following Arrested news already knew that both O’Brien and his loyal sidekick Andy Richter are slated to appear in the show’s fourth season, which will premiere on Netflix next year.

What may seem puzzling, though, is O’Brien’s phrasing — cast members and creator Mitch Hurwitz have been tweeting photos from AD‘s set for months, and those photos certainly haven’t been unauthorized. But as a Netflix rep explained to EW, this is the first photo released by Netflix itself — which is why O’Brien is calling it “official.”

In any case: celebratory chicken dances for everyone!
