It’s not every day that you get to see Alicia Keys banter with Miguel over video chat, but that’s exactly what happened in Keys’ Google+ Hangout.

The R&B queen brought a few fans into her New York City studio yesterday for a live preview of her new album, Girl On Fire. She was joined by several others, including collaborators Miguel, Maxwell, and Emeli Sandé, via webcam. The two-hour session, which is now available in full on YouTube, features Keys taking questions and sharing details about the record as they listen to it song by song.

In the hangout, Keys sings along and fist-pumps during her favorite parts of her album, and beams with pride during her son Egypt’s brief cameo on the Jamie xx-produced “When It’s All Over.” But this isn’t just the Alicia show — the whole crew basically loses it when the club banger “New Day” erupts in the studio. All of a sudden you’ve got superstars shakin’ their fannies right beside fans in a moment of total egalitarian bliss.

Remember, it’s a two-hour video, so there are plenty of great moments — for instance, Keys drops the news that she and Miguel will tour together in March. All told, it’s an opportunity to preview a great album and see Keys ham it up with her celebrity cohorts.

Girl On Fire hits stores on Nov. 27.
