Rose McGowan Dresses Up for Once Upon a Time

Cora (Barbara Hershey) may be Storybrooke’s least-liked resident, but she wasn’t always a mean witch. In the flashback-heavy March 10 episode of the ABC hit, Charmed‘s Rose McGowan swoops in to play young Cora. ”This is the story of her rise to power,” explains McGowan. ”She’s in the very bottom of the 99 percent and she’s desperately trying to be in the 1 percent.” The actress says the episode will also shed light on Cora’s complicated present-day relationship with Rumplestiltskin. ”They use each other to climb the ladder of power,” she says. And it could get romantic: ”Rumple and I might have a love affair.” We’d expect nothing less from the Queen of Hearts. —Nuzhat Naoreen

A Weekend With the Peeples

Introducing your boyfriend to your father is never easy, so in Tyler Perry Presents Peeples, Grace (Kerry Washington) tries to avoid it. ”But he just shows up anyway,” says Washington of the sweet slacker Wade (Craig Robinson). ”Grace’s dad [played by David Alan Grier] is upper-crust. She’s nervous about worlds colliding.” At their superstuffy dinner, director Tina Gordon Chism says, ”Wade suggests a ‘let’s share’ moment. And that’s where everything goes wrong.”—Lindsey Bahr

Carrie’s First Cosmo

Sex and the City fans know that Carrie Bradshaw loved a good cosmopolitan. But when did she develop a yen for the vodka drink? In the March 4 episode of The CW’s SATC prequel, The Carrie Diaries, 16-year-old Bradshaw (AnnaSophia Robb) is introduced to her beverage soul mate at an NYC club. ”It is love at first taste,” says exec producer Amy B. Harris. ”A cute guy gets her the drink, and it’s like she’s more interested in the cosmo than the guy.” We know the feeling. —Tim Stack
