'Nashville': Cast holds PaleyFest 2013 panel, talks tour rumors

When the cast of Nashville took the stage at PaleyFest 2013, they weren’t quite prepared to give away too much information about the show’s will-they-or-won’t-they couples Deacon and Rayna (not to mention Gunnar and Scarlett). However, that didn’t stop them from revealing some other tidbits. Below, in no particular order, 10 things we learned from the ridiculously attractive (and talented) cast.

Nudity alert!

Hayden Panettiere confessed that her character disrobes quite a bit in upcoming episodes. (We predict a spike in male viewership.)

Connie Britton loves rhinestones

There were a number of reasons why Britton decided to take on the part of Rayna James, but the rhinestones and outfits certainly didn’t hurt.

Charles Esten is a Friday Night Lights superfan

As the man who plays Deacon put it, Britton accounted for at least a couple hundred of the million reasons he wanted to do this show.

“She’s the one for me.”

Good news for shippers: Those were Esten’s words on how Deacon feels about Rayna. A case of art imitating life, clearly.

T Bone Burnett is “the music whisperer”

If you love the music on this show, you can thank the show’s Executive Music Producer, a 13-time Grammy winner who’s also won Oscar, BAFTA, and Golden Globe awards.

The show has Music City bona fides

Beyond Burnett’s involvement, Esten says he received a stamp of approval for the show from Mr. Jason Aldean, who told him they were doing a good job when they passed each other at the airport.

Sam Palladio is a triple threat

The swoonsome Brit grew up shuffling around his native London. Could he be any cuter?

Avery and Juliette? Not out of the question

When this question was asked, Panettiere seemed to think crazier things had happened.

Now about that tour…

According to Esten, nothing is concrete, but a tour would fit in with what the show is all about. Then again, the show needs to come first. Panettiere added that she would do it as long as Burnett were there to hold her as she sings.
