• Leslie Mann (This Is 40) and Jamie Lannister Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones) are in talks to join Cameron Diaz in the upcoming Nick Cassavetes film The Other Woman (not to be confused with Natalie Portman’s little seen 2009 flick with the same name). This story is about a woman who doesn’t know she’s the “other woman.” When she finds out, she decides to seek revenge with the help of the guy’s wife. The comedy could start shooting as early as late spring. Mann can be seen next in The Bling Ring as Emma Watson’s character’s mom. [THR]

• Robert Duvall is set to play Robert Downey Jr.’s dad in David Dobkin’s (Wedding Crashers) The Judge. In the film, Downey Jr. will play an attorney who finds out that his estranged father (the town Judge) is a suspect in his mother’s death. It’s being described as a dramedy. Jack Nicholson had been considering the role as well, but decided to pass on the project. [THR] Vera Farmiga and Elizabeth Banks are also being considered for the ex-girlfriend role. [Variety]

• The adaptation of Veronica Roth’s popular YA novel Divergent has added Maggie Q (Nikita), Zoë Kravitz (Mad Max: Fury Road), and Ansel Elgort (Carrie), to the cast. The Neil Burger-directed (Limitless) film is currently in pre-production and expects to start shooting in Chicago this spring. [THR]

• Jared Harris (Lincoln, Mad Men) has signed on for Paul W.S. Anderson’s Pompeii. He’ll play the role of Lucretius, the wealthy merchant who owns Milo (Kit Harington). Milo, of course, is in love with Lucretius’ daughter, Flavia (Emily Browning), and tries to save her before Mount Vesuvius erupts. We’ve mentioned before how silly this sounds, but, Harris does choose interesting projects and Julian Fellowes wrote a version of the script, so Pompeii could surprise! [Deadline]

• Amy Ryan (The Office) is set to join the stellar Birdman ensemble to play the role of Michael Keaton’s ex-wife. The Alejandro González Iñárritu comedyis expected to start shooting soon in New York. [Deadline]

Mark Consuelos (My Super Ex-Girlfriend), David Harbour (The Newsroom), and Astro (The X Factor contestant) have joined the cast of the upcoming Liam Neeson crime drama A Walk Among the Tombstones. Or, as we like to call it, that movie that ruined our Matthew Crowley dreams by casting Dan Stevens as a heroin dealer. [Variety]

• Bodybuilding documentaries aren’t generally in Casting Net’s purview, but this is too good: Mickey Rourke (Iron Man 2) has signed on to narrate Generation Iron, a doc that follows seven bodybuilders hoping to win Mr. Olympia. It’s scheduled for a September release, which is enough time for the filmmakers to consider revising the title to Generation Iron Man. [THR]
