Much Ado About Nothing

Get out your original cast albums and sing to the rafters, theater lovers. It’s almost Tony time! Until you can hear a lovable little redhead dream about tomorrow (it’s only a day away), perk your ears up as a slightly more polarizing redhead makes fun of Justin Bieber. Before you grab some nachos during the Best Play section (fingers crossed they’ll figure out how to not make it boring this year), check out thespians from the Whedonverse perform Shakespeare at Joss’s own house. Before you scope out your next Broadway crush, check out your favorite superboy all grown up. Have I lost you? Game of Thrones, Game of Thrones, Game of Thrones!

MONDAY

The Fosters, 9 p.m., ABC Family

ABC Family’s new drama about a blended family, executive produced by Jennifer Lopez, sounds intriguing. Judging from the preview, expect some waterworks, life lessons, and hopefully more complexity than afterschool moments.

TUESDAY

Kathy Griffin: Calm Down Gurrl, 10:30 p.m., Bravo

Kathy talks Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, Amanda Bynes, and… Jodi Arias. So yeah, the night has its highs and lows.

WEDNESDAY

The CMT Music Awards, 8 p.m., CMT

Co-hosted by the adorable Kristen Bell (and Jason Aldean), this awards show offers performances from Taylor Swift , Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, and more.

THURSDAY

Graceland, 10 p.m., USA

Does every trailer have to use this song? Do you still feel a little superior knowing that you liked Aaron Tveit way back when he was in Next to Normal? Is Daniel Sunjata forever your favorite dramaturg? This show looks like the perfect, light summer fare that USA delivers in spades.

FRIDAY

Much Ado About Nothing opens in select cities

Joss Whedon! Fran Kranz! Shakespeare! It might not be equal to The Avengers in terms of budget or blockbuster potential, but Whedon fans everywhere have been anticipating the arrival of this movie since the first second of the trailer (well, really ever since he announced he was adapting the play). If you don’t live in a city getting the movie, it’s time to watch Dr. Horrible again.

SATURDAY

Have you seen Before Midnight yet? Get on it. It’s beautiful. It makes men swoon!

SUNDAY

The 67th Annual Tony Awards, 8 p.m., CBS

Neil Patrick Harris hosts! Kinky Boots, Pippin, and Matilda lead the nominations. But, as with the Grammys, we’re all tuning in for the performances. Oh yeah the Game of Thrones finale is tonight too (at 9 p.m.).
