Spoiler Room is back from summer vacation!!

For details on how I spent my weeks off, watch Tiny Toon Adventures: How I Spent My Summer Vacation. Actually, that has nothing to do with what I did, but I wish it did. (Also, I really love that movie.) The real answer to how I spent my time off is nothing you’d be particularly interested in.

Anyway, I’m back and have returned with a delicious heap of scoop. Enjoy! And don’t forget to send your questions for next week, people! spoilerroom@EW.com

CASTLE: STANA KATIC KNOWS BECKETT’S ANSWER TO THE BIG QUESTION

You read that right. Stana Katic, who plays kick-ass detective Kate Beckett, knows how the lovely crime-fighter is going to answer (what I believe to be) the most important question posed this year in a TV season finale.

As you might guess, though, she’s not telling us a single thing about how Beckett will respond to Castle’s marriage proposal.

“I know the answer, and I’m not telling you,” she teased EW last night at a gala sponsored by Women in Film. But while she couldn’t reveal any secrets, Katic said she was quite happy with the answer Beckett gives. “I think that her answer is the perfect one for the character and for the show,” she says. Moreover, she doesn’t feel like Castle jumped the gun with his question at all because even though they’ve only been officially dating about a year, “I think it has been long enough for a yes or no answer. I figure the intense situations they’ve gone through together has sped up their bond.”

Proposals aside, there are professional questions also lingering as Beckett still has a big D.C. job offer hanging over her head. Katic says she is in favor of Beckett’s possible relocation. “It’s New York City and D.C. It’s not that far,” she says. “It also helps that he is a millionaire and a writer, which he can do anywhere. So how rough is that? He can afford to hire a private plane or two on her days off.” In Katic’s view, Beckett “has worked really hard to get to this point in her career, and there is a part of me that feels like she shouldn’t have to give up success in her professional life to keep her relationship happy, and vice versa. In real life, woman balance family, relationships, and careers all the time. Why should Beckett be any different?” she says.

Fall, why aren’t you here yet???

DEXTER: FIVE TEASES FOR THE FINAL SEASON

Have you picked up EW’s amazing summer TV preview yet? Well, you should have by now — especially if you’re a Dexter fan. My colleague James Hibberd was on set for all sorts of action, and while I’ll leave his story to fill you in on those specifics, here’s what I can tease about the first few episodes of the season:

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS: ARIA MOVING ON?

In case Aria and Ezra’s breakup wasn’t clear enough for you in the finale, the pair re-broke up in this week’s season premiere. While I’m sure you’re disappointed, as you may have heard, the writers are wasting no time getting this PLL a new man — specifically, Step Up Revolution hunk Ryan Guzman, who will play her self-defense instructor starting next week.

But she’s not alone. According to executive producer Oliver Goldstick, all the Liars’ love lives are going to get a little more active this season. “It’s a very interesting season for that. All four girls have a person somewhere on the horizon,” he says. However, he adds, many of these romantic interests “don’t surface maybe till we’re deep in [season] 4A, sometimes earlier than that. For Emily, for Spencer, for Hannah — there is competition for their affection coming up,” he says.

Yes, sorry, Spoby fans, that includes them. Goldstick says the beloved pairing is indeed going to be “somewhat strained by some of the circumstances surrounding his own personal mystery,” he says. “What is he going to reveal? How much? Will it cost him something if he does reveal it? You know, it becomes one of those questions where he has to be very cautious and very circumspect about what he can share or it may backfire and boomerang and really hurt him.”

SIDE DISHES

Sandra! Mandi tweeted that there will be a lot of shirtlessness in the Covert Affairs premiere. Can you confirm? Also, scoop please! — Leena

CONFIRMED! As for your scoop, expect no less than one shocking **e******, one bullet wound, one graphic bullet removal, and a r********** that will change everything.

I’m missing The Americans even more than I anticipated. Any scoop for me? — Jessica

Well, Noah Emmerich stopped by this week to take EW’s Pop Culture Personality Test (you’ll see it soon), and while here, I baited him for some dish on the second season, which will see Susan Misner, who plays his wife, Sandra (good name!), promoted to a series regular. “I think there’s a lot to explore in the relationship with my wife,” he says, “but what’s going to happen, I can’t say, because I don’t know. Obviously, she’s an integral part of the show, and she’s there for the long haul.” Emmerich also shared that while his character Stan might be hoping for brighter days, he’s hoping for quite the opposite. “Stan, we left him in quite a tortured spot. He’s been put through the wringer pretty thoroughly, and I hope that continues because that’s fun to act,” he says. “And we do learn more about his backstory. I think there’s a lot of material to mine there. We’ve alluded to a lot of intensity and darkness in his past, and I think it’d be interesting for the audience to learn more about from where he came.”

I’m dying for some Suits scoopage — especially about Rachel and Mike! — Meghan

SO much goes down between these two in the July 16 premiere, and as a result, I don’t even know where to start. So let’s play a game: One or more of these things will take place in the premiere. Can you guess which one(s)? (A) Rachel will out Mike. (B) They will sleep together again. (C) One of them learns a third party saw them getting it on.

I’m SO MAD about Awkward.!!! Jenna is SO dumb. I feel so bad for Matty. Is he eventually going to learn about her and Colin? — Cam

He will. And as previewed in the “what comes next” trailer, Jenna and Matty will break it off eventually. But while Matty will surely have a broken heart, don’t expect him to stay out of the dating game for long.

So excited about Burn Notice‘s 100th. Any hints? — Alyson G.

Other than it’s really, really good? Hmm … well, I can tell you that you’ll see a few flashbacks to Michael and Fi’s first encounter in Ireland, and they’re super sweet. But the end of the episode might leave you (and Michael!) wondering if this pair’s best days are behind them.

Last night’s Royal Pains premiere was great! I can’t believe Divya’s pregnant! And I’m worried about Hank. Need any scoop on what’s going on in the Hamptons. — Leslie

Divya’s pregnancy twist was cool, wasn’t it? Well, next week, the sexy PA reveals to Paige the surprising reason she never anticipated having a child, but also learns that all might not be well with the baby-to-be.

Teen Wolf has been PHENOMENAL this season. I’d love anything you got on Isaac, the Alpha pack or Stiles! — Josh

Sooner rather than later, we’re going to get a little more backstory on exactly how the Alpha pack got to be so powerful (and it’s quite disturbing!). Meanwhile, Isaac and Allison are going to share an über-intense scene in a closet in the fourth episode this season … and we’re not talking about a seven-minutes-in-heaven situation.

Sorry to bother you with this, Sandra, but I have to ask…can we get a Copper recap this year? PLEASE! This show is really good and dark and gory. I think you’d have fun doing it! — Katie

I’ll ask. If nothing else, keep an eye here for plenty of Copper scoopage. Meanwhile, since you mentioned gore, I have to warn you that your stomach MAY churn during the upcoming June 23 premiere. The scene of which I speak involved Madame Eva (Franka Potente) getting a knife in the back … literally. I wish that’s as bad as it got …

My Summer TV must-watch is definitely Rizzoli & Isles. I’d love some info on these kick-ass ladies. — J.L.

I can tell you that by the end of this pair’s big return June 25, which picks up at the tail end of Maura’s recovery from surgery, two couples will rekindle their flame with some hanky-panky. (Do people under 50 use that term any more?) Guesses on the couples?

Hi, can you tell me what the networks use to determine who gets canceled? I am so disappointed that they canceled Golden Boy, what an awesome show with Chi McBride and Theo James. Just can’t believe they can’t see what a good show it was. — CJSM

I, too, thought Golden Boy was an underappreciated gem. As far as why it got the ax, the ratings really weren’t up to the network’s standard (CBS notoriously has extremely high ratings expectations). But if you’re curious about what would have come next, I recommend hitting up the Twitter account of EP Nick Wootton. He gave fans a great rundown of his vision for season 2. Just today, he answered what would have happened to Walter’s little sister Agnes.

Hi there! Wondering where your column has been. We haven’t gotten a Spoiler Room in weeks. Anything you have on True Blood would be awesome. Especially if it involves Eric and Sookie. Thanks! — Beth

I’m out of Eric and Sookie scoop … for now. But I do have teases on Sookie’s new love interest, played by Rob Kazinsky. “Over the season the character will evolve in great jumps and bounds,” he tells us. “Episode 4 is a very big episode for Ben. You’re going to find out a lot about his past. Ben does have a very dark side. That’s going to come out in force in episodes 4 and 5.” Hopefully got some Eric/Sookie for you soon. Additionally, I’ll be having the lovely Kristin Bauer in the office VERY soon. So send questions!

(Lindsey Bahr, Carrie Bell, Adam Carlson, and Erin Strecker contributed to this column.)
