'Person of Interest': Details on new Facebook app + an exclusive clip

There’s only one week to go before Person of Interest returns for a third season, but starting today, fans need only look as far as their own Facebook walls to find out the next person of interest!

The show today launched a Facebook app (via its official page) that allows fans to submit and edit an image of themselves from their own account that will then be assigned a location and threat level (by The Machine, of course). Fans then have the opportunity to submit the completed image to POI producers at Warner Bros. Television and possibly be seen in an upcoming episode.

Executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Greg Plageman first teased the new feature during their panel at Comic-Con this summer.

Meanwhile, in further celebration of the show’s upcoming return on Sept. 24, EW has an exclusive clip from the season premiere to share. In it, Root is having a subtext-filled chat with her psychiatrist (the poor guy has no idea what he’s dealing with).

Person of Interest returns Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 10 p.m. ET. (Yes, that’s a shiny new day and time!)
