'Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce': Bravo's first scripted series

Bravo Media’s first original scripted series, Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce, will star House‘s Lisa Edelstein as a 40-something self-help book author who hides the fact that she’s separated from her husband. Based on the best-selling book series Girlfriends’ Guide by Vicki Iovine, the scripted series aims to offer a fresh take on women tackling life after divorce with the help of their friends.

Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce will follow the life of Abby (Edelstein), who suddenly finds herself taking advice from her divorced friends rather than her married ones. The result is a series of unexpected life-changes that occur as Abby tries to navigate her life as a single woman in Los Angeles.

The new show also stars Janeane Garofalo (Reality Bites) as divorced entertainment lawyer Lyla, Beau Garrett (Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior) as recent divorcee and former model Phoebe, and Private Practice‘s Paul Adelstein, who stars in the pilot as Abby’s husband.

Bravo has greenlit 13 episodes of the hour-long series, set to premiere sometime in 2015.
