Neil Patrick Harris will raise a glass for the 'HIMYM' finale

As history’s longest family meeting draws to an end, and Josh Radnor begins his final transformation into Bob Saget, the cast of How I Met Your Mother is preparing for their ninth and last season to draw to a close Monday night with the airing of the show’s series finale. For his part, Neil Patrick Harris plans to raise a toast to the sitcom and the character he played in more than 200 episodes.

“I’ll be doing a preview performance of Hedwig and the Angry Inch [on Broadway], so I think I’ll be probably watching it with my feet in an ice bath,” the actor told EW. “But I’ll definitely have at least a couple fingers of scotch in my hand to see Mr. Barney Stinson and the gang off.”
