Michael Strahan addressed reports that he'll be joining Good Morning America on Wednesday's edition of Live!, saying he has taken meetings about participating on GMA and would enjoy a co-hosting role on the early morning talker. Strahan stopped short of announcing his new position as a done deal, though insiders have confirmed to EW that he will be pulling double-duty on ABC in the mornings.

When Live! co-host Kelly Ripa asked the former New York Giant about the news, Strahan said he was surprised by the reports. "I went and had a meeting and talked about the possibility of doing something there…and then [last night] I got out of the Captain America screening and I'm looking at my messages, next thing you know I'm on Good Morning America."

"So, are you gonna do it?" Ripa pressed her partner. "I…I don't know," Strahan answered. "If I read the papers I am."

But he made sure to promise fans that he has no intention of leaving Live!. "This is what I do," Strahan added, gesturing to himself and his co-star. "This is me. This is my home, right here."

Strahan is expected to appear in segments in the first hour of Good Morning America, giving him enough time to prepare for his Live! gig at 9 a.m.
