Millions go missing in HBO's 'The Leftovers' teaser

People mysteriously disappear in HBO’s upcoming series The Leftovers — a lot of people.

“Two percent doesn’t sound like much,” a narrator tells us as images of crowds around the world flash across the screen. “But two percent of the entire planet, of every person on it, that’s more than the world’s ten largest cities combined.” That’s the amount of the world’s population that suddenly disappears one day, setting the series into motion — including a really cute baby we see briefly in the trailer, only to find it missing seconds later.

The Leftovers premieres on HBO June 15 at 10 p.m. ET. Watch the teaser below:
