Mariah Carey releases new album info, announces pre-order

The artwork and track listing for Mariah Carey’s upcoming album is out — along with a May 27 album release date.

Carey recently told Billboard she was planning on taking a cue from Beyoncé by dropping a sort-of-surprise album. This album, titled Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuseisn’t really a surprise like Beyoncé‘s self-titled release because, well, she announced it.

But Carey did try to hype up her listeners late Wednesday with a video, which gives some insight into the new album and features what the singer calls the only self-portrait she’s ever drawn.
