'Edge of Tomorrow' trailer: Tom Cruise dies every day

If at first you don’t succeed, brush yourself off and die again.

That could be a more playful tagline for the upcoming sci-fi thriller Edge of Tomorrow, starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. Set in the near future during an alien invasion, Cruise plays Lt. Col. Bill Cage, an officer without combat experience who has the power to restart each day after dying, forcing him to go to battle again and again. With the help of Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt), who once had the same power and understands his struggle, Cage gets stronger after each death and one step closer to ending it all. Directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity), Edge of Tomorrow also stars Bill Paxton and Jeremy Piven and will be released June 6.
