CeeLo Green apologized Tuesday night for the statements about rape which he says were "attributed" to him on Twitter. In a series of offensive tweets, Green argued that women can only be raped if they are conscious, writing, "women who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!" Following the ensuing outrage, TBS confirmed yesterday that Green's reality show, The Good Life, was canceled. Green, however, tried to distance himself from the statements in his apology Tuesday night after his Twitter account was reactivated following its deletion.

Green's initial tweets came after he pleaded no contest Friday to a felony charge of furnishing ecstasy to a woman in 2012. Prosecutors did not charge Green with rape on grounds of insufficient evidence.
