'Interstellar' poster shows Matthew McConaughey braving the unknown

INTERSTELLAR POSTER

Much of Interstellar may still be shrouded in mystery, but one thing is clear: Matthew McConaughey’s engineer is front and center on a venture into space to save Earth.

A new poster for the film, which debuted over at Empire, places McConaughey on a beautiful but alien landscape and comes with the tagline, “The end of Earth will not be the end of us.” If fits nicely with the first poster‘s “Mankind was born on Earth. It was never meant to die here.”

As the trailers and posters have shown, the planet is clearly in trouble, and it’s in the hands of McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, and a few others to save it.

On the poster, McConaughey is set against a white and dangerous-looking alien planet, whose surface looks like the one glimpsed in the latest trailer. Add in a folded-over look to the planet, reminiscent of director Christopher Nolan’s Inception, and viewers have one mysterious but continually intriguing setup for the film, which releases on Nov. 7.
