Leighton Meester, Gillian Jacobs are 'Life Partners' in new trailer

Sasha and Paige are living the dream: They lounge on the couch, eating cake, drinking scotch, and watching America’s Next Top Model together. Until Paige meets Tim.

Community‘s Gillian Jacobs and Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester star in Life Partners, a comedy that follows two best friends who do everything together until Jacobs’ character enters a new relationship that causes a rift in their friendship. “This movie is about women and their friendship, lives, and careers—things that interest them other than dating, guys, love, and sex,” Meester told EW in April.

In the trailer, Paige and her boyfriend—played by Meester’s real-life husband Adam Brody—cuddle and kiss as Sasha cries through fast food drive-thrus and attempts to find her own romantic partner. But throughout it all, they’re still each other’s bests: As Paige says to a giggling Sasha, “we’re still the only ones who think we’re funny.”

Life Partners comes out on iTunes and VOD Nov. 6 and arrives in theaters Dec. 5.
