Watch the debut trailer for Pivot's first scripted drama 'Fortitude'

Pivot is no longer giving the cold shoulder to scripted dramas, as the network has unveiled the first trailer for its upcoming series, Fortitude.

Set in the arctic town of Fortitude, the new series focuses on the first violent crime to be committed in the close-knit neighborhood.

The first trailer, debuting exclusively on EW, offers a look at the drama’s gorgeous setting, as well as Fortitude‘s cast, which includes Richard Dormer, Stanley Tucci, and Christopher Eccleston.

Fortitude will center on local chief of police Sheriff Dan Anderssen (Richard Dormer),and a foreign detective named Morton (Stanley Tucci), as the two investigate the murder, as well as each other, to uncover the mysteries rocking the town.

The cast also includes Gambon as a wildlife photographer who, with only a few weeks left to live, attempts an investigation into the town’s secrets on his own. Eccleston also stars as an English scientist in charge of the Arctic Biology department at the Fortitude Arctic Research Center. Sofie Gråbøl, Luke Treadaway, Jessica Raine, and Nicholas Pinnock also star.
