Paul Greengrass in talks to direct new '1984' adaptation

Big Brother is still watching, as EW has confirmed that Paul Greengrass is in talks to direct a new adaptation of George Orwell’s 1984 for Sony.

According to Deadline, which first reported the news, Scott Rudin and Gina Rosenblum are producing, while James Graham, who wrote the book for Broadway’s upcoming Finding Neverland, will write the script.Greengrass is re-teaming with Matt Damon for a new installment of the Bourne franchise due out in 2016, according to Damon.

John Hurt starred in an adaptation of the film released in—you guessed it—1984.
