Richard Linklater, Alejandro González Iñárritu, and Wes Anderson, now-familiar faces in this year’s awards race, all received nominations for the Directors Guild of America Award.

The DGA did not choose to honor Selma‘s Ava DuVernay or Gone Girl‘s David Fincher. Meanwhile, Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper, which was snubbed by the Golden Globes, seems to be gaining traction in the awards race, with Eastwood taking a DGA nomination and the film garnering a nod from the Producers Guild. Members of the Directors Guild were not sent screeners for Selma, but did receive screeners for all the nominated films.

Last year, four out of the five Directors Guild nominees went on to receive Oscar nominations, while the year prior only two of the five matched.

The full list of nominees is: Wes Anderson for The Grand Budapest Hotel, Clint Eastwood for American Sniper, Alejandro González Iñárritu for Birdman, Richard Linklater for Boyhood, and Morten Tyldum for The Imitation Game.
