How does a bear from Darkest Peru come to be named Paddington? In this exclusive clip from the film, which will be released in the United States this weekend, the bear gets his English name. It comes of course from London’s Paddington station, where the Brown family comes across him. (Not from a bottle of ketchup.)

The film, helmed by Mighty Boosh director Paul King, follows Paddington’s introduction to the Brown family and his search for the explorer who promised his aunt and uncle a warm welcome in London and showed them the deliciousness of marmalade. Though Paddington has yet to make a U.S. debut, the film has already grossed over $100 million worldwide.

Paddington himself is voiced by Ben Whishaw, probably best known as Bond’s new Q, who took over for Colin Firth. Sally Hawkins and Hugh Bonneville play Ms. and Mrs. Brown and Nicole Kidman plays a taxidermist pursuing Paddington with intentions of stuffing him.
