'The Interview' Blu-ray extra: Seth Rogen on how he got the eye of the tiger

It’s fair to say that The Interview suffered—or perhaps, inflicted—some casualties. But for all the North Korea and hacking controversies (and subsequent studio upheavel), at least Seth Rogen and James Franco walked away from the film relatively unscathed.

That’s not to say that Rogen, in particular, didn’t have a few scary what-am-I-doing-here moments. Take for example the scene where his character comes face to face with a hungry tiger. Rogen didn’t have to feign fear for the camera, because that tiger wasn’t CG—and even though the giant cat had a friendly name like Robbie, he wasn’t immediately purring the night Rogen had to get up close and personal.

The tiger’s handler seemed confident that Robbie and Seth would see eye-to-eye—as long as the scene wasn’t filmed at night, in the rain, or in a giant open area. Unfortunately for Rogen, those were precisely the conditions he and co-director Evan Goldberg had in mind. In an exclusive behind-the-scenes extra from The Interview Blu-ray, which arrives Feb. 17, Rogen and Goldberg discuss the fright they endured working with a co-star who could eat them.
