Jenny Slate will reportedly switch from a regular to a recurring role on FX’s Married because the network is considering Slate to star in a pilot, according to Deadline.

The project would reunite Slate with Gillian Robespierre and Elisabeth Holm, two of the co-writers on Obvious Child, which starred the Saturday Night Live alum. Robespierre, who also directed the 2014 indie comedy, and Holm are expected to write the FX pilot, with A24’s John Hodges and Ravi Nandan executive producing.

As for Married, Sarah Burns is being added to the show as a new regular. She will assume the role of new character, Abby, a single mother who often runs into trouble in her search for approval.

Married centers on Russ (Nat Faxon) and Lina Bowman (Judy Greer), a married couple who are well beyond their honeymoon phase. Slate plays Jess, a friend of Russ and Lina’s who is married to a significantly older man. In its upcoming second season, Slate is expected to appear in four episodes.
