The last time Re-Animator actress Barbara Crampton and indie film all-rounder Larry Fessenden were both cast in a film, the result was 2011’s fabulous horror-comedy You’re Next. So hopes are high for writer-director Ted Geoghegan‘s terror tale We Are Still Here, which again features both actors and premieres at the upcoming SXSW Festival.

The film stars Crampton and Andrew Sensenig (Upstream Color) as a couple who move to the New England countryside after their teenage son is killed a car crash. According to the film’s official synopsis, “the grieving couple unknowingly become prey to a family of vengeful spirits that reside in their new home, and before long they discover that the seemingly peaceful town they’ve moved into is hiding a terrifyingly dark secret.” And this is exactly why I don’t use Airbnb.

We Are Still Here costars Lisa Marie (Mars Attacks) and Monte Markham and was produced by Travis Stevens (Cheap Thrills, Jodorowsky’s Dune, Starry Eyes).
