Bombshell is using Kickstarter to help it get to Broadway.

The musical, which was part of NBC’s gone-but-not-forgotten show Smash, will be performed in a concert production one-night-only at The Minskoff Theatre to benefit The Actors Fund. The event is scheduled for June 8, and cast members Christian Borle, Will Chase, Megan Hilty, Katharine McPhee and Debra Messing are scheduled to participate.

However, the Actors Fund has launched a Kickstarter to cover the necessary production costs—the cast and creative teams are donating their time—so that proceeds from the event can go straight to charity. Rewards include Bombshell baseball hats, bumper stickers, posters, and even tickets—though tickets only come with a donation of $1,000 or more. Tickets go on sale April 14.

This is just the latest in the afterlife of Smash, which lasted a mere two seasons. The show’s other musical, Hit List, was performed in 2013 at 54 Below. A earlier this month Jeremy Jordan, Krysta Rodriguez and Andy Mientus reunited for another Smash-related concert.

Smash, since its absence, has taken on a cult status,” producer Neil Meron told the New York Times. “We have this great score, and the cast loves each other, so we thought, why don’t we try to do a concert version?”
