'The Walk' releases vertigo-inducing poster

Man On Wire, James Marsh’s 2008 film about Philippe Petit’s 1974 high-wire walk between New York’s Twin Towers, won the Academy Award and is one of the most lauded docs in recent memory. That’s partly because Petit’s story is so compelling, which also explains why Hollywood can’t stay away from it. Slated for an October release, Robert Zemeckis’s The Walk is a biopic about Petit, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the lead role.

The filmmakers have released a new poster for The Walk, which hints at Petit’s vertigo-inducing piece of performance art. That’s the image above, and you can check out a trailer for the film below.
