Syfy is ending Helix.
The cable network has canceled the sci-fi bio-thriller after two seasons. The series starred Billy Campbell as the leader of a team of researchers from the CDC who are fighting to contain the breakout of a virus.
While the show, from Battlestar Galactica‘s Ronald D. Moore and Sony TV, saw an impressive first-season run, viewership dropped off dramatically in season 2, averaging 560,000 viewers.
