Mark-Paul Gosselaar is returning to network that made him famous. NBC has given a series order to DJ Nash comedy People Are Talking.

From producer Will Packer (Ride Along) and director Pam Fryman (How I Met Your Mother) comes this unabashed new comedy about two diverse couples who are both neighbors and best friends. As they go through life side-by-side, they can’t help but analyze and obsess about everything. From topics like sex and race, to the fact that the trusted new babysitter might just be a porn star, nothing is out of bounds for this wildly outspoken foursome.

The cast includes Gosselaar, who initially starred on the network on Saved By the Bell, Meaghan Rath, Tone Bell and Bresha Webb.

Nash will write and executive-produce with Packer and Fryman, who directed the pilot.

The comedy joins NBC previous drama series orders Chicago Med, the Chicago Fire/P.D. spin-off, other medical drama Heartbreaker, starring The Slap’s Melissa George, and Blindspot, about a Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) who is discovered naked in Times Square, completely covered in mysterious, intricate tattoos with no memory of who she is or how she got there.
