Exclusive first look: The making of Broadchurch

The town of Broadchurch may not be as walkable as it appears.

In this exclusive clip from the Broadchurch season 2 DVD, cast and crew take viewers inside the making of the fictional seaside community—which, according to actor David Tennant (Alec Hardy), “is actually spread across most of the southwest of England.”

“We travel around quite a bit,” says Tennant about the series’ filming locations, “and all these elements combine to produce what should look like a very small, little community.”

But the iconic Dorset beach needs no exaggeration, even if Ellie Miller (Olivia Colman) might have to drive a while to reach it. “There’s a sort of danger here,” says actress Charlotte Rampling (Jocelyn Knight).
