Paramount has picked up the U.S. distribution rights for a comedy from dynamic spousal duo Judd Apatow (producer) and Leslie Mann (star), the studio announced Friday. The plot for the film—written and directed by Hangover scribes Jon Lucas and Scott Moore—hasn’t been detailed, but production starts in New York this summer, and the feature is slotted for an April 15, 2016, release date.

“We are excited to be partnering with Judd, Bill and their teams for this great project,” Paramount president Marc Evans said in a statement. “Leslie, Jon and Scott are among the best comedic talents working today and their combined forces will no doubt make for an incredibly funny movie that the whole team here is excited to be a part of.”

Merced Media is fully financing the project, with Bill Block and Raj Brinder Singh of Merced tapped as producers. Block Entertainment partner John Friedberg will be an executive producer.

“Paramount has a creative and innovative team and they recognize great comedies,” Block said. “This film is going to be wildly appealing and we’re thrilled to partner with Paramount to make this a giant global release.”
