It’s been a long four months, but we’re finally here: the season 14 finale of American Idol. We’re only going to do this one more time EVER, so Fox made sure tonight counted. The evening was packed with performances by Ricky Martin, Fall Out Boy, Pitbull, Steven Tyler, and New Kids on the Block (yes, these producers always know how to deliver the weirdest lineup ever), but what we really sat through two hours of flashy production for was this very moment. After last night’s surprise elimination of Jax, Nick Fradiani and Clark Beckham faced off in a shockingly dynamic episode, and now that the votes are in, Nick Fradiani is our penultimate American Idol!
