Though Kris Jenner has been quiet since ex-husband Bruce Jenner’s 20/20 interview, during which he came out as transgender, she voiced her support for his transition on Tuesday night at an event in Beverly Hills.

“[The] family’s doing great, and Bruce is doing great,” she told Us Weekly. “And everybody’s super supportive… [I’m] really happy for him.”

Kris Jenner, unlike Bruce Jenner’s other ex-wives, Chrystie Scott and Linda Thompson, had not elaborated on her thoughts about Jenner’s transition. She only tweeted once after the former Olympian’s interview with Diane Sawyer, saying, “Not only was I able to call him my husband for 25 years and father of my children, I am now able to call him my hero.”

Of course, her thoughts will likely make up a large part of Keeping Up With the Kardashians: About Bruce, a two-part special that will show Bruce Jenner discussing his transition with the rest of his family. The special will air May 17 and 18 on the E! network.

Jenner has not indicated a preference for female pronouns. This story uses male pronouns in deference to that.
