Six things we learned about Conan O'Brien, Rashida Jones, and more at the Turner Upfront

Conan O’Brien is taking his comedy on the road? Samantha Bee is getting her own late night series? Rashida Jones filmed a scene with an actual mole for Angie Tribeca?

Here are a few things EW learned while attending the Turner Upfront presentation at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday in New York City.

Conan is hitting the road: Fresh off his recent trip to Cuba, Conan O’Brien will be hitting the road with six week-long trips to different cities and events. The late-night host will kick off his adventures this July at Comic-Con, as the first-ever late-night show to broadcast from the event in San Diego. It’ll be hard to top that Korean spa experience with The Walking Dead’s Steven Yeun, but it’s worth a shot.

Daily Show‘s Samantha Bee heads to late-night: The former Daily Show correspondent is getting her own late-night gig on TBS. TBS unveiled a teaser for the upcoming show, which poked fun at the lack of female representation on late-night TV shows, during the presentation. Bee has also created a scripted family-road trip comedy for the network with her husband and fellow Daily Show alum, Jason Jones. “It’s serial comedy, basically. We are so excited about it. We’re having so much fun writing it,” Bee said of the series in a recent interview with EW.

Big names for Rashida Jones’ comedy, Angie Tribeca: The scripted series from Steve and Nancy Carell is getting a little extra star power: Bill Murray, Gary Cole, Adam Scott, and Gillian Vigman are set to appear in the over-the-top cop comedy starring Rashida Jones. Jones gave EW a sneak peek of the type of jokes to expect from the upcoming series at the Turner Upfront Wednesday in New York Cit,y saying, “There’s a joke with Adam Scott, who plays a doctor, where I say ‘Doctor, while I have you here, I have a mole I’d like you to take a look at.’ And I pull out an actual mole. There’s an animal trainer between my legs, and the animals is pooping on me, and there’s just a lot going on.”

TBS orders pilot from Conan O’Brien: TBS has ordered the comedy pilot The Group, which follows journalist Wyatt Jones as he investigates the claims of a support group of people who believe they’ve been abducted by aliens. O’Brien is set to executive produce alongside comedian Jeff Ross, David Kissinger, Dan Halsted, and The Office co-creator Greg Daniels. The network gave the greenlight to Wrecked, a comedy about a group of plane crash survivors stranded on an island. Think Lost, but maybe not as dramatic.

TNT greenlights eight-part drama from True Detective‘s Cary Fukunaga: TNT announced The Alienist, an adaptation of the bestselling thriller by Caleb Carr. Set in the late-1900s, Dr. Laszlo Kreizler, reporter John Moore, and police Commissioner Theodore Roosevelt come together to track down serial killers in New York City. The series will be executive produced by Fukunaga, Eric Roth (Forrest Gump), and Hossein Amini (The Wings of the Dove, Drive). Along with The Alienist, the network ordered two pilots: Will, a drama about a young William Shakespeare from Craig Pearce, as well as a crime drama from John Wells and Jonathan Lisco called Animal Kingdom.

Funny or Die’s Billy on the Street moves to truTV: Billy Eichner’s man-on-the-street game show begins its fourth season on truTV, which is set to premiere in October of this year. The network’s first fully-scripted series, Those Who Can’t, will debut in early 2016. The story follows three high school teachers who seem less than qualified to be educating America’s youth. Also among the newly announced pilots: Jake and Amir from CollegeHumor’s Jake Hurwitz and Amir Blumenfeld, an untitled Tom Segura and Christina Pazsitsky project, and a docu-follow series about a family weed distribution business with the working title MaryJanes.
