'Jurassic World' director Colin Trevorrow says he won't direct any sequels

Even though Jurassic World won’t be released until June 12, rumors are already swirling about possible follow-ups. But according to Colin Trevorrow, he won’t be coming back as director.

ComingSoon.net first reported that at the Jurassic World Paris premiere, Trevorrow told Italian site Badtaste.it that he would not direct any further installments. “Jurassic Park is like Star Wars. Different directors can give a different taste to each movie,” Trevorrow said. “I would be involved in some way, but not as director.”

Trevorrow may not be working on a Jurassic follow-up any time soon, but he has plenty of other projects in the works. He has signed on to direct Book Of Henry, based on a script by author Gregg Hurwitz, and Intelligent Life, a sci-fi thriller for DreamWorks. Trevorrow co-wrote Intelligent Life with Derek Connolly, and the two worked together on Jurassic World and Safety Not Guaranteed.

Trevorrow’s reps did not immediately respond to EW’s request for comment.
