Nate Ruess and Beck paired up for a rendition of Lou Reed’s “Satellite of Love” at April’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, and that duet turned out to be a preview of their official collaboration: The two teamed up for “What This World Is Coming To,” the fourth song released off Ruess’ upcoming Grand Romantic.

While the other tracks released so far all gravitate toward pop, “What This World is Coming To” is a low-key ballad with a hint of country—although that doesn’t stop Beck from inserting a very Beck-like electric guitar solo halfway through the song.

Grand Romantic is Ruess’ first solo album after previously releasing albums as the frontman of bands The Format and fun. It arrives June 16.
