Earlier this week, Iggy Azalea canceled her headlining turn at Pittsburgh’s Pride in the Street event after backlash arose against some old homophobic tweets. They now have their replacement in Nick Jonas, the Delta Foundation announced Wednesday.

“When I heard about the difficult position Pittsburgh Pride was in just days before their event, I knew I had to find a way to help,” said Jonas in a statement. “I’m excited to do what I can to support the LGBT community in Pittsburgh, and I look forward to seeing you this Saturday as we celebrate together.” Really a cool move from Jonas, who, according to Delta president Gary Van Horn, called up the festival organizers to offer up his services. Good on you, Nick.

Azalea faced pressure, but bowed out on her own in a statement directed at the city. “This has been a difficult decision as I truly support the event and LGBTQIA communities,” Azalea wrote in the statement, “however I feel my participation at this point would only serve to further distract from the true purpose of the event.”

Jonas plays Saturday in downtown Pittsburgh. Tickets are available here.
